About This Home
Countrywood is one of the few Vacaville neighborhoods where the lots aren't all cut from the same template, and this is one of the better ones — an extra-long driveway with real guest parking, and a covered front porch deep enough to actually sit on.
Inside, the ceilings are nine feet on both floors, not just the main level, which is unusual for a 2002 build at this price and is the first thing most people notice walking in. The main level holds a living room off the entry, a den that works as a home office, a half bath, and a formal dining room. The kitchen sits at the back with a center island, a full pantry cabinet, and a gas range, opening straight into the family room and its gas fireplace — so whoever's cooking isn't stuck in another room.
Upstairs, the primary suite sits under a tray ceiling with a walk-in closet, double sinks, a soaking tub, and a separate stall shower. Laundry is up here too, where the clothes are, instead of down by the garage. Three more bedrooms fill out the floor.
The work that doesn't photograph is the part I'd point at: a new HVAC system in 2023, new luxury vinyl plank and carpet throughout, a new garage door and opener, and new lighting in the bathrooms. Those are the line items that show up in your first two years of ownership, and they're already done.
The kitchen counters are tile rather than slab. If that matters to you, it's a weekend and a few thousand dollars — the layout underneath is already right, which is the expensive part to fix.
Out back the yard is built for people who don't want a yard: stamped concrete under a pergola, a built-in outdoor fireplace, gravel and mature shrubs, wood fencing on all sides. The $121 monthly HOA takes the front yard off your list entirely. I-80 is minutes away, and Travis Air Force Base, the outlets, and downtown Vacaville are all short drives.
